Plans for the future

So, what do I do now that Abra The Last Witch is out on Itch.io?

I'm about to graduate from high school, and move on to bigger things.  My life is changing all around me, and I can look back on this game as a way to communicate what I was going through at the time.

It seemed like the world around me was changing, and I was in danger of not moving on to the next stage in my life.  I almost failed my senior year, and thought for most of the time that I was not going to make it.

This made me realize later that I subconsciously wrote Abra's character to express what I was going through at the time.  Now that both Abra, and I have accomplished our goals, I wonder what I'm going to do in terms of both making games, and what to do with Abra.

The obvious thing I'm going to do is release the game on GameJolt, because while the game did as well as I expected(which was not very well), the first game, Abra The 8 Year Old Witch, performed better on GameJolt than here on Itch.  That's not a jab at Itch, because I love what Itch does for small creators like me, but I feel like Abra The Last Witch fits better on GameJolt, so it will find it's audience.  If you have an tips on releasing a game on GameJolt as opposed to Itch, feel free to leave it in the comments.

When the game comes out on GameJolt, it will have a new version, and when that comes out on GameJolt, I'll release it as an update here on Itch.  I will talk about the new additions  at a later time.  I will also give a release date for the GameJolt version later this month.

I'm also starting to work on a non Abra related game, but I'm not ready to talk about that yet.  Maybe at a much later time.

I know this was a really long devlog, so I'm sorry if you found it boring, but I thank you for reading this, regardless if you've played the game or not.

Wish me good luck and best wishes for the future of my game development journey, and for the Abra series.
